History of Phi Delta Chi

On November 2, 1883 at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, Albert Benjamin Prescott and 11 men founded Phi Delta Chi.

Phi Delta Chi has chartered 57 undergraduate chapters and has initiated over 33,000 men and women into the Brotherhood. 

Beta Xi chapter was founded at Midwestern University – Chicago College of Pharmacy on February 5, 1994. 

In this short time, we have initiated over 261 members into our chapter. 

 

Our Motto:  Alterum Alterius Auxilio Eget  (Each Needs the Help of the Other)

Our Objective:  To advance the science of pharmacy and its allied interests, and to foster and promote a fraternal spirit among its members

Our Creed: "A man should first direct himself in the way he should go; only then should he instruct others" – Buddha

Our Colors:  Old Gold and Dregs of Wine

Our Flower:  The Red Carnation
